Curtis Hotel, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 1934 Postcard Reproduction
Nice view of the Curtis Hotel, 10th Street and 4th Avenue South in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, from 1934.
The Curtis originally opened as a residential hotel with the 4 story building in the center of the block on 10th Street in 1903, The first 12 story tower, at 10th and 3rd Avenue, was built in 1911, followed by the second tower, at 10th Street and 4th Avenue, in 1917 or 1919, depending on who you believe. The Curtis remained one of downtown Minneapolis' largest and most prominent hotels until 1984, when it was demolished for what is currently the Ameriprise Operations Center.
A bit of history, fantastic for dropping friends or family a note the old-fashioned way, and makes a great gift! This is a reproduction of the original 1934 postcard. 4" x 6" postcards
