Description

Nice view of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway depot and the elevators in Amiret, Minnesota, from 1911. This depot, along with most of Amiret, no longer exists.

Amiret is an unincorporated community in Lyon County, in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The town’s post office first opened under the name Coburg in 1873. The name of the post office was changed to Amiret in 1878 and remained in operation until 1992

A bit of history, fantastic for dropping friends or family a note the old-fashioned way, and makes a great gift! This is a reproduction of the original 1911 postcard.
