Description
Very nice image of the Twin Cities Rapid Transit depot in Excelsior, Minnesota from the 1910s. This depot allowed riders to transfer from the trolley originating in Minneapolis to the Lake Minnetonka steamboat. Note that the steamer is The Minnehaha, which was sunk in the 1920s when passenger service ended on Lake Minnetonka and raised from the lake bottom and restored in the 1980s.
A bit of history, fantastic for metro area residents and streetcar lovers alike, and makes a great gift! This is a reproduction from an original 1910s postcard. Available in 3.5 inch x 5.5 inch postcards and prints from 4 inch by 6 inch to 13 inch by 19 inch sizes.
